Fly Rod Hanak Competition Superb RS Graphene River

The premium fly rods range from Hanak Competition for delicate river fly fishing – nymphing, dry and wet fly fishing. The Superb RS Graphene River is a series of four-piece, ultra-light, slim, very fine yet high-performance rods.

They were designed, continuously tested and fine-tuned by one of the best competition fly fishermen, Luboš Roza (multiple world and European champion) in close cooperation with František Hanák, an expert in trophy fishing.

This new line also includes special and highly sought-after dry fly models in a uniform length of 9.3 feet – 282 cm – Superb RS Dry Fly 393, 493 and 593.

Thanks to the use of the latest technologies and the revolutionary Hexagon Graphene material and the use of extra light and super-quality components, Hanak Competition managed to reduce the weight of these rods by about 30% (up to 30 g) compared to conventional rods. The slight deviation from conventional lengths follows the global trend of using longer rods while maintaining maximum performance of these models.

Graphene is the thinnest known material with a single atom layer thickness arranged in a hexagonal lattice. Thanks to this structure, it is incredibly light and approximately 200 times tensile than steel.
